BENEVOLENT + EMPATHETIC + RELIABLE
TIMID + SELFLESS + RESERVED
ALOOF + INSECURE + PASSIVE
concha is a gentle giant. though they can appear rather intimidating due to their large size, they admittedly hate violence, and try their best to be kind to everyone despite any adversity toward them. they are benevolent and often respond to rude remarks with kindness, as they simply cant find it in themself to return the harsh feelings. concha is very empathetic and feels for the cats of the clans; they try their best to understand the various situations, and though they may be hated for belonging to the clan that oppresses them, concha wants the best for them. they often seem sad when discussing with clan cats, as they are very perceptive toward others' emotions. concha is also a very reliable feline. they are always there to help someone in need, and is very punctual in the sense that they never seem to be late to any meeting, whether it is serious or just for fun.
they've been in the clans for a little more than a year now, but still find themself rather timid when it comes to interacting with others. they are still trying to settle, but they find it hard to connect with any of these cats when they have little in common. concha tends to keep these feelings locked away and reserved; they truly love their life now, but part of them still yearns to go back to the people that raised them from a kitten. to drown out these feelings, they focus on helping others, and rarely give themself time to relax. they have a difficult time allowing themself to be vulnerable with anyone, but concha wants very badly to help everyone, and has a bad habit of putting the wants and needs of other people before their own.
connie often appears a bit dazed or out of it when not preoccupied with helping others. they seem distant, staring at the horizon, and always brush it off when someone mentions it. they're kind and courteous to others, though remain aloof and reserved. because of their origins, concha is considerably insecure and feels like they constantly need to prove their loyalty to the halcyon and the clans. they'll do anything to try to prove where their loyalty lies, thus leading to some passiveness. they have a tendency to let others walk over them or order them around because they believe it will help their i do belong here argument, even if it can be a painful jab to their confidence.
HISTORY concha was born to two kittypets in a town settled on the ocean. they have vague memories of their mother and siblings, but major details are foggy, as they were adopted out soon after they were weaned. they had a good life. they loved their people, and their people loved them; they were named concha after the hispanic dessert, for their fur pattern and the alternate meaning of "seashell."
a majority of the time, concha was an indoor cat. they enjoyed sprawling out on the tile floor in the afternoon to catch the sun on their belly, and loved to sit in their humans' laps and be petted. however, they were also allowed free roam of the town. they often hung around outside by the beach, their favorite things to do being catching seagulls and watching the sun set on the ocean. there were several times that they would chase crabs through the sand; the scar on their nose as well as their nicked ear were caused by the cranky crustaceans.
all in all, concha loved their life. they were perfectly content. however, things changed when their humans decided to go camping, bringing them along for the fun of it. it was incredible. they stared out the window for a majority of the trip to the camping grounds, and they scampered off into the woods as soon as they arrived. they didn't go very far before being called back, and for a few days, they stuck to the clearing with their humans. but, with so many new smells and sights and places to explore, concha quickly became immersed in the environment and one day wandered too far from the campsite.
when they finally came to their senses, they were far from where they had been, and didn't recognize any of their surroundings. they were lost. they wandered for a few days before they came upon the clearing their humans had been in, only to find that they had packed up and left without them. concha was alone in the wilderness, lost and afraid.
fortunately for them, they knew how to hunt, so they were not entirely doomed. for a few months they simply meandered, before finally coming upon the clans' territories. originally, they were to be placed in usta, but an older halcyon couple, names alba and castor, took a liking to them and wanted to adopt them, so concha was allowed to remain in the halcyon. they trained to be a watcher for several moons, but upon seeing the state of the clans and how they hated the halcyon, they decided to remain jobless.
concha hopes that one day, they can help change the system and free the clans.
more to come.
